Information We Collect and Its Use

Alarm and Mission Data

• Collection: The alarms you create — times, repeat schedules, sounds, chosen missions, difficulty and repetition counts — along with your streak, are stored locally on your device.
• Purpose: This data exists so the app can ring at the right time and show the right mission. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot read it. It is removed when you delete the app.

Camera

• Collection: If you use the barcode mission, the app asks for camera access and reads a barcode through the camera.
• Purpose: Frames are analysed on your device to detect a barcode and are discarded immediately. No photos or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted, and the camera is only active while a barcode mission is on screen. You can decline or revoke camera access in iOS Settings; only the barcode mission depends on it.

Analytics Information

• Collection: As you use our app, Firebase Analytics collects data on your interactions, such as the features used and time spent in the app, together with technical information including device model, operating system version, app version, language, and a device identifier generated by Firebase. Firebase also derives an approximate, coarse location from your IP address.
• Purpose: This data helps us understand user behavior, allowing us to improve app functionality, design, and the overall user experience. It is not used to identify you personally.

Crash and Diagnostic Information

• Collection: When the app crashes or hits an error, Firebase Crashlytics collects a diagnostic report containing the stack trace, the state of the device at the time (such as memory and storage available), the device model, and the operating system and app versions.
• Purpose: These reports are used solely to find and fix defects. The contents of your alarms are not included in them.

What We Do Not Collect

• Reveil has no sign-up and no user accounts, so we do not collect your name, email address, phone number or password.
• The app does not track you across other apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier, and contains no advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data to train machine learning models.
• We do not collect precise location, contacts, photo library contents, health data, or microphone audio.

Data Sharing and Third-Party Engagements

Google Firebase

• Nature of Sharing: The analytics and crash data described above is processed by Google through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These are the only third-party services the app communicates with.
• Protection Measures: Google's privacy and data handling practices apply to the processing of this data.

Alarm data, mission settings, streak history, and camera imagery are never shared with Firebase or with anyone else — they do not leave your device.

Personal data will not be disclosed for any reason other than those stated above, unless such disclosure is deemed necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation or if we request your consent.

Data Security and Integrity

Analytics and crash data may be processed using both automated and manual methods and is stored on the servers of our service provider. We have implemented technical and organizational measures to safeguard this data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, please be aware that Internet transmissions are not completely secure.

In accordance with the principles of data minimization and storage limitation, we retain analytics data for the period configured in Firebase and crash reports for as long as they remain useful for diagnosing the defect they describe. Alarm and streak data is kept only on your device, for as long as the app is installed.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not meant to be used by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware of such collection, immediate steps will be taken to remove the data from our servers.

Policy Modifications and Updates

We may modify or update this Privacy Policy. If we make modifications, we'll notify you by revising the date at the bottom of this privacy policy and, under certain circumstances, we may also notify you by additional means (such as via email or in-app notification).

You possess rights under the GDPR, including data access, rectification, erasure, and the right to object to data processing. For any requests or concerns regarding your data, please contact us using the provided contact details. Because the app holds no account identifying you, please include the device details needed to locate the relevant records.

You can stop all collection described here at any time by deleting the app, which also removes the alarms and streak stored on your device.
